Semiotics Task
Here we have a Poster from a classic 80s film "The Thing" Straight away you can see the social codes where its dark and enigmatic by the night sky and the blackened mountains in the distance. The colours are dark and cold which make the audience feel uneasy and gives them shivers. The text is in Helvetica which is the simpil and has no emotion. 'Mans warmest place to hide' is written on the top of the poster in white so it stands out on the night sky. It represents the cold weather and relatets to the emptiness and deserstion of the place where there is no warmth and nowhere to hide (no escape).
